Who we are
Headway is a registered charity, limited by guarantee and aims to improve quality of life for acquired brain injury survivors and their families. Initially set up by professionals working in neurological rehabilitation and carers concerned at the lack of long term support after release into the community, the organisation now provides services to 80 survivors of brain injury every week.
In partnership with our volunteer team, our staff deliver a range of services including a social and community reintegration programme, art and drama therapy, counselling, family support and information on all aspects of brain injury.
We are a growing organisation and continue to develop our services in response to the needs of our community.
We are affiliated to Headway UK but entirely responsible for generating our own income .
