Matthew and Simon Still Going Strong Despite The Weather |
|
Matthew and Simon have completed 270miles of their 625 mile Ulsterway Walk Challenge. The two young men from Friends School, Lisburn are completing the walk in memory of Simons mother, who sadly passed away from a brain tumour in 2005. Planning the journey themselves and carrying all the equipment they need the boys will be pushed to their limits.
They have already walked through the Mournes and The Ring of Gullion in South Armagh, which is an amazing accomplishment considering the current weather!!!
The boys have commented on the incredible support they have received from the local community who have allowed them to camp on their land when camp sites are not available. Two nights ago they found themselves camping at the top of Doon View near Derrylin.
So far they have raise a staggering £655 and are only half way through their challenge!! If you would like to show your support for these two inspiring young men go to http://www.justgiving.com/ulsterwaywalk
