Local brain injury survivors will benefit from a new IT zone thanks toTesco's Community Fund.

A cheque of £3,000 was presented to Headway the brain injury charity which provides support for acquired brain injury survivors and their families after release from hospital.  The charity helps people to readjust to life after head injury and rebuild social skills through a range of social activities and therapies.

Fiona McCabe, CEO of Headway, is delighted with the injection of funds. She said "We are delighted that Tesco has enabled us to introduce an IT zone for our members.  At Headway we aim to improve the quality of life for survivors of brain injury and the IT facility will engage our members in creative IT projects.  We assist over 80 survivors of brain injury every week and the Tesco grant only adds to our portfolio of activities"

Greg Crummy, Customer Service Manager at Tesco, congratulated Headway on the success of their award, saying "Tesco is delighted to be able to support the work of Headway - they help people reintegrate into community life and Tesco endeavours to put community at the heart of what we do"
