We offer Neuro Physiotherapy for our service users. 

Neurological Physiotherapists specialise in treating people who have neurological disease or injury that results in problems with movement, posture, balance and mobility.

Individuals with acquired brain injury can suffer from a range of physical problems which may include:

• Muscle weakness
• Reduced sensory and spatial awareness
• Reduced range of movement and joint stiffness
• Balance problems
• Poor positioning (e.g. when sitting in a wheelchair)
• Mobility problems and other movement difficulties
• Reduced fitness levels

At Headway Belfast service users can be referred to our Neurological Physiotherapist for an assessment. Treatment is then tailored to each individual to meet their specific needs. This may include one-to-one sessions, group exercise or advice regarding  fitness programmes.
