The Cycle Helmet Show - Cycle Helmet Safety and Brain Injury Awareness

Our Information Officer Volunteer facilitates presentations in schools and youth clubs to raise awareness of brain injury and cycle helmet safety for children and young people aged 6 – 11.

The presentation includes:

• The importance of wearing a cycle helmet
• Demonstration of how to wear a cycle helmet correctly
• Basic brain overview – ‘what your brain does’
• Interactive Activity – ‘the egg and the head’
• What hurting your brain does to you

Where?

This service is currently available to schools and youth clubs in Belfast, Lisburn, Bangor and Newtownards.

How?

The presentation will take 20 minutes and is best suited to classroom groups.
We would also be grateful if your school could commit to a non-uniform day or a ‘Wear your hat for Headway Day’ to raise vital funds for our organisation.
